Hi Tracee - it is wonderful that you are willing to share. I came across a book by Christiane Northrup, M.D. called "Women's Bodies, Women's Wisdom [Creating Physical and Emotional He... recently and bought it for my daughter. Ha. That didn't last long. I am the one who needed the wisdom out of the book and found myself "borrowing" it from her. It's a goodie and has helped me make decisions when visiting my doctor. It has a lovely questionnaire in it that is user friendly for all. I am glad you are here to help me should I need lots of clarifications.

I am defiantley here to help you out shal you need me. Also if you are intrested in reading books that really open up your prespective on things, you should try reading Tuesdays With Morrie. What an eye opener that one is!

I definitely think we need to open a book section to this health care thread. And, for that matter, books in general, for recommended reading. What a resource place this site could be. I have just arrived home from a visit to a urologist. I have to have some kidney stones zapped. Oh joy!! The trick is getting an appointment. In all the excitement of that, I failed to ask him what I might have done to help those stones to grow. Oh well, another visit I guess. I have never talked to a specialist who spoke so fast it made me dizzy...then if you have no questions...we'll see you at your next appt....buh bye.... lol....

I hear ya Cripp! I have that on my to do list. Let me figure out what is the best way to do that - any one elses thoughts are more then welcome.
I will create a page or something in the next few days - and will post it and announce it - it needs to be accessable to both experts and regular members and have a means to add information to it as we go - but I want to keep the word "reading" away from it - since we do "other readings" aka tarot and psychic here too - not just reading books lol :)
this SITE will be an awesome resource for all who view it - at least thats my goal!

you know Cripp, you have the power in your hands to change the way that they talk to you. I Know that sometimes it can be fustrating for some doctors to do what they are actually there to do, and that being taking care of us. YOu really have to set your foot down and say HEY IM HERE TO GET MY QUESTIONS ANSWERED ABOUT ME!! and they will listen..lol.
I guess they call that rights or something or other..lol i am not too sure but I know i get that alot from my clients, that the doctors just dont want to talk to you, they want you in and out in no time. It isnt until you put your foot down and say that you want things different that they begin to look at you as a person and not a number so to speak.. get what i mean?
ps oh yea! the book idea is perfect..lol i just thought that Tuesdays With Morrie is a great eye opener for anyone that wants a better POSTIVE out look on life. And Jenn.. if you need any help, you know you can ask your lil sis!

I agree with the book idea, its great to share knowledge. I will of course be sharing healing energy with Cripp when she gets "zapped" too lol. If we use the word "Library study" maybe it would differentiate between that and "Readings".

True....I didnt feel comfortable with him anywy Tracee...so I was happy to leave as soon as I could. He will be alright on the day though. And, thanks for the insight there.

The things is that its not a matter of feeling uncomfortable. The idea is to be reconized as a person again, and for the doctors ( no matter thier proffession really) take the time to answer our questions, and not just in an out kinda deal. You said and i quote you, "he will be alright on the day though." Alright is the key word, you should feel comfortable with him, and know that you are going to get through what ever the day will bring to you.
